Erreur de genre

Aujourd'hui, j'ai reçu un message hors de l'ordinaire à mon travail. Une personne avec qui je travaille à distance me demande si je suis un homme ou une femme car semblerait-il mon nom porte à confusion. Le "e" à la fin de Stéphane n'est normalement pas présent dans la langue anglaise pour les hommes. J'ai quand même trouvé cette demande bizarre venant de la part d'une Indienne prénommée Kulvinderstamper (en un seul mot)...

N'empêche que je signe maintenant Stephan dans mes communications officielles.
